Heavy equipment is dwarfed by the mountains of logs that cover acre after acre of land on
North Sherwood Forest. With so much storm debris left in Gustav's wake, public and donated
private lands throughout the parish are being used as staging areas to deposit the natural
debris that will be chipped to mulch. Twenty days after the storm, many roads are still lined
with piles of massive tree trunks and limbs while a steady stream of trucks and lifts collect it.
